michael, i'm so happy to hear about what's going on there! i'm completely sure you'll find your niche and completely miss it when you come home. maybe you can find a greek insider...like a college student to help you out a bit...i don't know much about your situation though. good luck with the next 3 months!
Good to hear from you Michael. Looks like a you're having a great experience. Did somebody punch your left eye?? It looked bruised! Maybe it was just the lighting. I work with Laurel whose husband is Greek and she 's been there. She said you'd love the food. Feta cheese and all. We'll take you shopping when you get home so you can pick out ingredients for an authentic Greek meal. bring recipes. Keep blogging..it's good to catch up with you. Dad
I think they call gyros 'donairs' or something like that. That's what they call 'em here in Canada, too! I think souvlaki is like a Greek shish kabob!
Anyways, cheer up, little Michael! You're in ATHENS! I know it's hard adjusting, but live the moment to the fullest and treasure your time there. You and I share a passion for Greece/history [and Greek history!], so I understand how much you love learning about it... just keep that in mind when you are pissed at the showers! haha.

Awwww, our Michael is growing up :)
They call gyros-souvlaki (from what I can remember) (then either lamb, chicken or pork)
